We are able to exchange or provide a store credit if your merchandise is returned and received within 10 days from the date of purchase, except custom orders & textile. 

Please contact us at contactus@eco-friendlymodernliving.com for a return authorization number and to ensure that it is not a final sale item. You must write this number on the outside of the box in order for your return to be accepted. After 10 days, all sales are final. Unfortunately, we do not provide refunds/credits for shipping/handling charges for returns over 10 days or final sale products.  

We will accept the return of any UNOPENED PRODUCT within 10 days of the invoice date for credit towards your account, restocking fee up to 20% may apply.

Eco-Friendly Modern Living asks that merchandise be returned in its original condition meaning that the merchandise is unworn, unused, unwashed, and in original packaging and that you include a copy of the invoice or packing slip with your reason for return. All returns require a RETURN AUTHORIZATION TICKET from Eco-Friendly Modern Living.

Items returned without a return authorization number, past 10 days, or not in original condition will be returned to customer at the customer's expense.

The Customize & Textile items are not returnable/exchangeable under any circumstances.

Shipping charges incurred for exchanges will be billed to customer who placed the original order unless otherwise specified. Credits to credit cards take approximately two weeks to process from the time the return is received and processed.

Canceled or modified orders must be done as soon as possible. Call or email your request, we will do everything we can to assist you. If the order has been shipped we will not be able to cancel or modify the order, it would then be the customer's responsibility to send the package back to Eco-Friendly Modern Living and the original return/ exchange policy will be applied.

Exchanged items along with orders that use a store credit are not eligible for free shipping.

PLEASE NOTE: All Final Sale merchandise is Final Sale, NO RETURNS, and NO EXCHANGES.

 

Fabric

 

Eco-Friendly Modern Living does not assume responsibility for fabrics dye lot variations should they occur. An order will be made in its entirety from the same dye lot, but subsequent orders are not guaranteed to match. Eco-Friendly Modern Living is not responsible for fabric discrepancies once receiver has cut into fabric. We recommend inspection of fabric by workrooms before cutting fabric; fabric returns will not be accepted. Fabrics are not guaranteed against fading or wearing over time. We recommend our fabrics be backed when intended for upholstery use. Our Vendors will supply backing service upon request (additional charges apply). We do not accept returns on cut yardage. We do not accept returns on custom orders.

 

We are not responsible for shrinkage or bleeding as a result of washing your item(s).

We DO NOT provide payment for RETURN SHIPPING except for defects or order processing irregularities. Only in-house credit will be issued for any returned items. 

 

Furniture

 

Due to the nature and properties of solid wood, finishes may vary somewhat from our catalog picture.  Many of our items are “distressed” to give them a worn, aged look.  If you have questions about an item’s finish, please call our customer service department.

 

Every item we ship is carefully checked before it is packaged for shipment.  While every effort is made to protect an item during shipment, damages do occur.  Please inspect your merchandise when it arrives and notify us immediately of any damages.

 

Please be aware that furniture is highly susceptible to damage during transit. We take great care to pack shipments so that they will arrive safely, so be sure to retain the original packing materials, original receipt and all merchandise tags for any item that you wish to return to us.

 

Collection:

 

Please make a note, that most of our collection items are made to order and has minimum lead time of 4 weeks. Some of these items are made from up to 150 years 100% recycled wood. The recycled wood has natural tendency of contracting or expending which may result in cracks during shipping, although we take a good care of our product while shipping, but due to natural tendencies of recycled wood, we can not provided any guarantee. In most cases our manufacturer will be more than happy to offer repairs, in case of these incidents.

 

No returns of repair of merchandise will be accepted without prior written consent and shipping instructions.

 

Unauthorized returns will be refused and returned freight collect. Customer will be responsible for both way shipping charges in these instances. Eco-Friendly Modern Living reserves the right to demand photographs of the damaged pieces and the right to choose a qualified representative to make an inspection of the pieces to be returned.

 

Disclaimer

 

Eco-Friendly Modern Living is not responsible for damage to furniture in transit or in storage. Before accepting merchandise from carrier, examine the shipment carefully. If there is any visible damage to the container(s), make a notation on the Bill of Lading before signing same. Claims for damage or shortage by delivering carrier should be filed with the carrier and Eco-Friendly Modern Living by the consignee within five (5) days of delivery. When receiving furniture from “uncrated, blanket wrapped” furniture carrier, remove wrapping and examine furniture before signing receipt. ; Note damage, if any, on receipt and file claim within five (5) days with carrier. Claims for merchandise defects or errors must be reported to Eco-Friendly Modern Living, in writing within five (5) days from receipt of furniture. Failure to do so shall constitute full acceptance of the merchandise.

 

No claim of any kind, whether as to goods delivered or for non delivery of goods, and whether based on negligence or otherwise, shall be greater in amount than the purchase price of the goods in respect of which such damages are claimed and failure to give notice of claim within five (5) days of delivery, or the date fixed for delivery, as the case may be, shall constitute a waiver by the buyer of all claims in respect of such goods. The remedy provided herein shall be the exclusive and sole remedy of the buyer, any right of the buyer to consequential, special, indirect or incidental damages excluded. Eco-Friendly Modern Living is not liable for any errors, misprints, or omissions on pricelists.
